Mode

Depending on the licensed modules you can select here if connections to this partner can only be established actively (client), if the partner can only connect to the FTP server of !MC5 (server) or both (client and server). Currently the only mode available is Client only.

Client only

Push&Pull operation initiated by !MC5: Only active connections possible. !MC5 connects as FTP client to a partner provided FTP server and can both upload and download files. The partner cannot establish an active connection to !MC5. Files can be actively sent to the partner. Files have to be "fetched" by the partner.

Server only

Push&Pull operation initiated by the partner: Only passive connections possible. The partner can connect to !MC5's FTP server with any FTP client and both upload and download files. !MC5 cannot actively dial the partner. Files to be sent are provided and must be "picked up" by the partner. The partner can actively send files to !MC5.

Client (send only) and server (receive only)

Pure push operation by both sides: Files are actively sent to the partner. For this !MC5 connects as FTP client to a FTP server provided by the partner. No files are downloaded from the server. Conversely, the partner can also actively connect to !MC5 and send files, but not download files.
