Import from default XML

When importing EDI data in a default XML format, it is not necessary to activate a special function for this. When importing EDI data, automatically checks if it is a message using a default XML format and reads it accordingly.

EDI_XML_004

If a message is detected in a default XML format, this is indicated by the line "Format: XML" during manual import.

All subsequent processing steps then take place in exactly the same way as for a file in the actual format of the respective message type. So if a message in the default XML format for VDA 4905 is imported via the EDI import (either manually or via automatic) and then sent to the corresponding partner, then always a file in the format VDA 4905 is sent to the partner and not an XML file.

Any rule for automatic import works both with data in the actual format of the selected message type, and in the default XML format of the message type. Again, it is not necessary to make any special settings.

The prerequisite for correct recognition is that the corresponding XML file corresponds to the specified schema. It is especially important to use the appropriate namespace in the XML file! Schema definitions (XSD) for each message type can be created via the EDI Convert Manager. More detailed information can be found in the EDI-Convert-Manager manual.
